1 . Is Fix ALL® paintable?

Yes, Fix ALL® may be painted, however due to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly suggest a compatibility test before application. The drying time of alkyd resin based paints may increase.

2 . Is it possible for Fix ALL® to freeze?

No, when applied Fix All has a temperature resistance of -40°C until+90°C. In the unopened cartridge the product will not be damaged if is exposed to freezing temperatures. Fix ALL® has a very high resistance to all kinds of weather conditions.

3 . When do you need primer on a porous surface?

Very porous surfaces may beprimed with Primer 150. Surface Activator may be used to improve adhesion on non-porous surfaces. We recommend preliminary compatibility tests previous to application.

4 . What is the correct diameter for the grooves between tiles?

This depends on which Fix ALL® product you are using:

For the elastic kits, Fix ALL® Classic and Crystal: Depth = 1/2 of the width of the groove

For non-elastic kits, Fix ALL® High Tack: Depth = width of the groove

5 . How do I store an open cartridge of Fix ALL®?

There is no data available on the shelf life of a sealant after it had been opened. Opened cartridges should be stored in a cool dry place. Before storing purge a small amount of sealant into the nozzle to make sure fresh product will be at the tip of the nozzle. Replace the cap, quickly wrap duct tape around the tip, or put a nail down the nozzle and wrap tape over it.

6 . What is the curing time of Fix ALL®?

The curing time depends on the thickness of the joint, humidity, temperature and surface. In ideal conditions (20 °C and 60% RH) the curing rate will be between 2-3 mm in 24 hours.

7 . How can I improve the adhesion on a non-porous surface?

Surface Activator has been shown to improve adhesion on non-porous surfaces by up to 25%. We recommend preliminary compatibility tests prior to application.

8 . Do you have a product to clean tools?

If the sealant has not yet cured Soudal Swipex Cleaning Wipes offer a great solution. Swipex cleans and removes uncured sealants as well as oils, ink, greases from, tools and surfaces but should only be used on smooth surfaces. If the sealant has fully cured cut it off with a sharp cutter knife. The rest product can be removed with Soudal Sealant Remover.
